Engage Studios, in partnership with Galway City Council are delighted to announce the return of the Engage Graduate Studio Residency Award 2026-2027, a funded 6-month studio for one emerging artist at our Churchfields studios starting this September
Deadline: 14th August 2026, 17.00
Who can apply:
Artists who completed an undergrad/postgrad in 2026, and who live in Galway (it’s ok to have studied outside of Galway). Artists working in all media are welcome, though bear in mind that the studio space is not large.
What’s included:
Artist studio for 6 months, free of charge, in Engage Studios, Churchfields, Lower Salthill, from September 1st 2026 to February 28th 2027. The space is warm, well lit, and secure with 24 hour access.
An artist’s fee of €2000
The opportunity to host an exhibition or other public event in the Engage gallery space.
Mentoring and professional support from Engage management
The selected artist will have access to all the same opportunities as all other Engage members, including use of equipment, curator visits, and members' open calls.

Proposed activity - Maximum 500 words. How would you use the space and your time there? What project do you hope to undertake?
Work samples - Up to 10 images, video links, or other relevant material
CV or bio outlining any relevant professional experience
