Soliloquy

Soliloquy explores portraiture, the dynamics between artist and sitter, the male gaze, representation of women in painting, and interiority.

After painting a portrait of Madi O’Carroll, Will O’Kane invited Madi to offer a counterpoint to the portrait in the form of spoken word.

Will O’Kane, an orbital member of Engage Studios, is a painter with an interest in identity & psychoanalysis. Madi O’Carroll is an actress and theatre-maker with a focus on queer identity and experience.
