Engage Arts Studios is not currently accepting applications for Core Members.

Application for new Orbital Members will be open towards the end of 2023


Core members receive a studio space either single occupancy (from €120) or sharing with one other (from €90) Studios are located in Churchfields, Salthill and St Francis St in Galway City Centre. In addition to the physical studio space Engage offers a wide range of other services to it members including  access to curator visits, group shows, web site profile, member events ,the access to the studio facilities: the Digital Suite, Workshop, Hot Desk, Library, Equipment etc

Orbital Membership entitles artists, access to curator visits, group shows, web site profile, member events the access to the studio facilities: the Digital Suite, Workshop, Hot Desk, Library, Equipment etc. Orbital Membership is suited to artists who may have home studios or live outside of the city who want to keep connected to a network of professional artists and have access to studio facilities and members opportunities. It is also open to artists in surrounding counties.The cost of orbital membership will be €150 per year . Orbital Membership also acts as a waiting list for studios with Orbital members being offered first refusal when studios come available. 

Membership for both Core and Orbital membership shall be open to practising visual artists who fulfil the selection criteria and agree to adhere to the rules of Engage.

Application Process


Applications must take the form of a single PDF containing 

  • up to 10 medium sized images of recent work (or link to Video Work)

  • biography,

  • up to date CV

  • a letter of intent

  • please specify if you are applying Core, Orbital or both.

Criteria


Applicants must be 18 years or over, be practising visual artists with a minimum of a degree in Fine Art and have been selected for a minimum of three juried/curated exhibitions. Applicants must demonstrate an active art practice.
