Engage Art Studios is  studio space in Galway city centre. Founded in 2004, Engage supports contemporary artists in a professional environment.

Engage Art Studios provides an atmosphere of creativity, production, inspiration and opportunity for  artists working in the Galway area. The unique studio space is on the top floors of the old Cathedral Building on the corner of Middle and Abbeygate Streets. There are 12 private studios and a fully equipped office and digital suite. Engage is not a residential studio space.

Engage is a member of the Artist Studio Network of Ireland and Adapt Galway.

The building is safe and well lit, located just off Shop Street in Galway City Centre. Studios range in size from 80 to 260 sq. feet. and currently priced around €0.80 per square foot.

Engage offers a a part-time Orbital membership and a full-time Studio membership. Part-time Orbital membership is a non-studio arrangement that allows for the use of our digital lab, office, equipment for checkout, a profile on our website, inclusion in open studios events, curator’s visits and participation in off-site shows and curated events. Full-time Studio members enjoy everything Orbital members do, but also have 24 hour access to a private studio. Orbital membership is €20 per month and Studio membership rent depends on the available studio’s size. Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.

Apply for a Studio Membership by emailing engageartstudios@gmail.com up to 10 medium sized images, a current CV and letter of intent. Engage advertises annually for submissions from professional working artists. A peer-based selection committee will review the applications.
